In teh new collection FOUND Front put together different ordinary already existing things and changed some details. They let the small characteristics within one object become the essence of the new product.
These are generic objects that we have changed, added something to, taken apart and reassembled or altered the distinguishing characteristic of. There is a cupboard with the reflection of a room at a moment passed, a standard lamp globe with hidden objects inside that make shadow decorations and illuminated light bulbs that appear to be flying. The glint on the surface of glass turns into the decoration of a lamp. A chest of drawers is divided and put back together so that it appears to defy gravity. Mirror balls are composed in a chandelier that illuminates the room with confetti-like light. A light shines through a door, slightly ajar. This becomes the decoration, but when you open the door the light switches off. A cupboard has a constantly changing surface made out of rotating advertising signs.
They were interested in looking at the relationship between newly designed objects and old existing objects. What differentiates objects from one another within a category - where does the generic object end and the distinctive new product begin?
